You may have already heard, but I’ll give you the recap for why I think this week’s petty award should go to Snoop Dog. Snoop released a song earlier this week called “Lavender.” In the video, Snoop kills a clown by the name of Ronald Klump, who looks so similar to Trump, I had to do a double-take.

Many people are divided on the issue, some side with Trump and some with Snoop. Those who are in favor of Ronald Klump, sorry, I meant Donald Trump, say that you can’t threaten to kill the president no matter the circumstances. Others would argue that these are some pretty damn trying circumstances. Donald sent out a tweet saying that if Snoop Dogg’s, “failing career and all”, had done the same to Obama there would have been jail time. Yea, because nobody ever threatened Obama in a video before and of course Trump was there to insist they go to jail.
Also, can we just go back to what Trump said? Snoop supposedly has a “failing career”, but Trump is failing in this white house administration.
I am not condoning threatening the president, especially if you are not a white woman, *cough* Madonna *cough*, because you probably won’t get away with it.
Yea, remember when Madonna made a little statement about blowing up the white house after Trump was elected? If you didn’t hear about it, this is what I mean about a white woman getting away with it.
Regardless, Trump needs to grow up and deal with people talking about him. Hello Mr. Trump, nobody made you run for president and many of us would have preferred if you didn’t. When is this man going to stop being in his feelings on twitter just because people don’t like him anymore. If you didn’t know, Trump and Snoop used to be good acquaintances. Snoop preformed at Trump’s Comedy Central roast, and things seemed to be good between the two. They even could laugh about little issues like race.
Maybe Trump felt like he and Snoop were so close with their race jokes that he now feels betrayed. Who cares. If I could give some advice to him, it would be to grow a thicker skin and instead of clapping back at old friends, preoccupy yourself with more important things, like your actual job and doing it better.
As for Snoop, please stay out of politics. Good intentions in the face of some bad political circumstances, but his little fiasco is taking media attention from more important things, like the fact that Trump may have leaked his own 2005 tax returns. Not to mention the cause of Snoops video is left on the back burner. If Snoop is really hating Trump and his policies as he recently spoke out against Trump’s immigrant ban, do something that doesn’t involve promoting violence; protest, volunteer to help a refugee or two, make some art that doesn’t promote further destruction. That’s why some times you have to put the weed down and think straight.
